SunBorne has been established by internationally recognized experts in solar thermal power generation, a prominent US based private equity fund with assets in excess of $1.7 billion, and business leaders with experience in building businesses in India.

Our company’s mission is to leverage our team’s technology experience in building solar thermal plants in USA and Spain, towards making concentrating solar thermal power (CSP/CST) competitive with grid scale power in India. Our initial focus is exclusively on the Indian market because we foresee significant potential for solar thermal electric power in India due to its rapidly growing economy, acute power needs, and abundant availability of solar radiation.

Vice President - Engineering, Solar PV Business

This is a Senior Leadership role within the organization, which requires the individual to develop and lead the entire engineering functions under him/her; and Work with the Business Development team for business growth.

 

Eligibility:

+ 15 years or more of experience.
+ Hands-on experience on the aspects on utlility scale Solar Power projects mentioned below
+ Should have very good understanding of Civil and Structural Engineering
+ Focussed on processes and systems
+ Ready for frequent short-term traveling within India and abroad

Job Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

+ Develop and lead the Engineering organization across System Design, Civil & Structural Engg, Power Electronics and Electrical Engg
+ Bring in fresh concepts and optimize the plant designs according to the specific projects with specific focus on reliability, cost and time-to-completion
+ Standardize processes and procedures for design and testing of the PV Power plants
+ Cost reduction and Value engineering
+ Bring in new techniques of civil engineering and structure designs
+ Work with Procurement(Supplier selection and development) and BD functions for overall business alignment
+ Manage Change Management and Drawings/ Documentation control
+ Develop a strong in-house data monitoring and analysis capability
+ Support project site selection, wherever required

Senior Manager/AGM Civil Engineering

We are looking for a person who can take on this role basis the criteria given below.

Eligibility:

+ Civil Engineers with B.E., B.Tech from Reputed Institute.
+ Should have 8-12 years of post-qualification Experience of Civil Engineering for EPC of Thermal Power Projects
+ Detailed exposure of engineering of Coal fired Thermal Power Project for the following packages.
- Soil Investigation
- Structural Engineering
- Fabrication & Erection of Structural steel and Review of Fabrication drawings.
- Lay out (Station and BOP)
- Equipment Foundation design with Turbo alternator.
- Pile and Pile cap
- Architectural design
+- Should be proficient in preparation and review of Concept note/DBR of Civil related systems
+- Review and approval of Civil related drawings and documents
+- Capable of selection of Design Mix for various grades of concrete
+- Interpretation of various study reports like Soil investigation, Geotechnical and bathymetric study , Contour and topographic study etc.
+- Preparation of BOQs, BOMs
+- Planning and design of Predevelopment activities like drainage, approach Roads, Construction offices etc.
+- Coordination with Owner’s engineer, engineers of other cross function, site, and other support functions.

Site Supervisor

We are looking for a person who can take responsibility for the coordination, facilitation and supervision of various civil construction, mechanical and electrical installation activities at solar thermal pilot plant. It includes interfacing with external contractors to ensure correct and timely work of forest clearance, land flattening, office/laboratory building and solar tower construction; interpretation and compliance of technical drawings and work schedule during erection; auditing and monitoring the quality of construction; planning and executing work assignments in a cost effective and safe manner; resolving the maintenance and outage activities; helping to resolve labor inquiries and disputes; enforcement of site rules and policies by the construction crew; ensuring crew personnel assigned to perform work are appropriately trained and fit for duty; performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

The individual must be able to maintain effective lines of communication with the local government bodies, contractors and construction crew.

Preference would be given to the candidates capable of handling construction sites independently, having capability to handle workforce effectively and who are result oriented, cost conscious, and able to maintain and enforce a safe working environment.

Eligibility:

+ Candidate should be diploma holder in Civil Engineering with 8-10 years experience in construction of building and industrial projects
+ Able to understand the CAD drawings
+ Must have the ability to create a safety conscious work environment
