Dr. Lee Stefanakos

Dr. Elias (Lee) Stefanakos is a member of the Technical Advisory Board. He is Professor of Electrical Engineering and Director of the Clean Energy Research Center (CERC) at the University of South Florida (USF), Tampa, Florida. CERC is an interdisciplinary center whose mission is the development of clean energy sources and systems with emphasis on technology development and technology transfer.

 

He is carrying out research in the areas of solar thermal energy conversion, photovoltaic systems and hydrogen (production and storage)


Up to August 2003 and for 13 years he was Chairman of the Department of Electrical Engineering at USF. He is Associate Editor for Photovoltaics of the Journal of Solar Energy. He has published over 150 research papers in refereed journals and international conferences. He has a number of patents and has received over $14 million in contracts and grants from agencies such as National Science Foundation (NSF), US Department of Energy (USDOE), National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA).
